School of Robotics

In order to produce pragmatic, creative and internationally competitive human resources that can lead the knowledge-based society in the 21st century, the College of Electronics and Information Engineering has established the educational objectives as follows, so that the college may cultivate specific abilities of the students, based on the field-oriented engineering education system in the electronics, information and communication fields.

Department Introduction

The School of Robotics was established for the first time in this country in order to train professional engineers who are equipped with professional knowledge about robots and able to lead the future robot industry as a new growth engine industry in this country. The education of the department focuses on cultivating creativity through acquiring balanced knowledge between hardware and software, which is essential for robot technologies. To achieve this, our school is implementing the education based on the robot-related knowledge through Quad System, which puts emphasis on mathematics, major theories, practical training and English language. Our school is making efforts to lead the future robot industries and contribute to the national development by producing internationally competitive robot experts and training engineers or entrepreneurs who can work in the relevant industries of found a business.

Educational Objectives

"Our school is expecting lots of interest and support from young talented with vigor and ability!"

The education of the school aims at training internationally competitive professionals through the Quad(ruplet) system in which English language, mathematics, major theories, and practical training are emphasized. And the education focuses on training engineers and entrepreneurs who can be employed or found a business, so that they may to lead the future robot industries and contribute to national development.

Sub-majors in Department

The School of Robotics is subdivided into Intelligence System Major Information(centering on hardware) and Control Major(centering on software). In the majors, the following subjects are offered. Robot Kinematics, Automatic Control, Sensor and Measurement Engineering, Embedded System, Computer Vision, Electromagnietics Circuits, Circuit Theory, Digital Engineering, Signals and Systems, Microprocessor, Computer Architecture, IArtificial ntelligence, Data Structure, omputer Network

Career after Graduation

Because the robotics is an converged academic field in which electricity, electronics, computer, communication, software and mechanic engineering are combined together, the graduated may get a position in various industrial fields. They may work in production fields, including robot design and fabrication. And also, the may show off delicate analysis ability or sales ability, working actively in technical sales sections or technology planning sections. On the other hand, they may participate in research and development or policy development projects in national and public research centers. And they may be a teacher after obtaining a teacher's licence, or become public employees or a staff of public enterprise after obtaining a national engineer license.
