Dean's Message

Welcome to the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, KwangWoon University!

The College of Electronics and Information Engineering (initially established as Chosun Wireless Communication School, for first time in Korea) has enlighten more than 20,000 excellent engineering experts, who have remarkably contributed and leaded marvelous innovations at ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in Korea.

Recently, the ICT in 21st Century is driving the fourth industrial fields by combining conventional industrial fields such as automobile, construction, sports, robots and the other innovative fields such as IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), big data, medical and healthcare. Along with these trends, we, the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, has set a goal to foster problem-solving, creative and challenging talents with the 4C techniques (Critical Thinking, Communication, Creativity, and Collaboration). To achieve this goal, we have developed and driven a variety of professional education programs, including specialized liberal arts, theory, self-directed practical learning program, creative design, and combined subjects with R&D. Furthermore, we have also constructed internship programs by expanding industry-academic education programs with Korean conglomerates as well as small and medium-sized businesses enterprises and driven overseas training programs and international joint research. We have concentrated to foster professional talents with intellectual capabilities and practical experiences so that the students become professional engineers with international sense and competitiveness.

Now, about 100 excellent full-time professors have concentrated and devoted on education and research with 2500 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students, who will lead the future ICT-converged industrial fields and techniques, and, in the years ahead, we will make an effort to take a leap to become supreme college at ICT field in Korea.
