Scholarship Information

The College of Electronics & Communication Engineering has established various systems of scholarship in order to promote academic achievement of the students.

Top(Perfect grades) Full tuition scholarship ич Singling out based on the place in ranking among the students of department in each year.
иш Students who have obtained 17 credits in the last semester (12 credits for 4th graders). And the basis weight average shall be higher than 3.0.
(Each department may have their own standard, so that students need to check it at the department office.)
True Light 50% of Tuition
Bima 25% of Tuition
Hanwool(A) 50% of Tuition ич Students who have obtained 17 credits in the last semester (12 credits for 4th graders). And the basis weight average shall be higher than 2.0.
иш Students whose behavior serves as a model for others and passion for study is strong, though they have a difficulty to prepare tuition due to poverty. And students who have a recommendation from the Head of Department.
Hanwool(B) 25% of Tuition
Frontier 25% of Tuition ич Students who have obtained 17 credits in the last semester (12 credits for 4th graders). And the basis weight average shall be higher than 2.5.
иш Students whose belief in volunteer work for the department is strong. Students whose behavior serves as a model for others. And students who have a recommendation from the Head of Department.
Entrance Scholarship Prescribed amoun ич Students with an equivalent qualification in accordance with the regulations provided by the Admission Screening Committee and Scholarship Committee after deliberation in each year.
Volunteer Services Prescribed amount ич Students who have contributed to the Student Council and other self-governing bodies inside the school, and
иш Students who have obtained 17 credits in the last semester (12 credits for 4th graders). And the basis weight average shall be higher than 2.0.
Patriots-Veterans Full tuition scholarship Students who are veterans themselves, or children(grandchildren) of a veteran. There is no limit of grade, but the children's basis weight average shall be higher than 1.6.
Direct children of Staff Full tuition scholarship Direct children of the staff working for our university
Direct children of Staff working at Kwangwoon Foundation Full tuition scholarship Direct children of Staff working at the schools of Kwangwoon Educational Foundation
National Examination Full tuition scholarship Students who have passed national examinations(Bar, Civil Service, Foreign Service), including equivalent examinations(CPA, Patent Agent)
Family 2 students : 1/3 of the tuition of the older one 3 students:1/2 of the tuition of the oldest one

иш The student who will receive the scholarship must have obtained 17 credits in the last semester (12 credits for 4th graders). And the basis weight average shall be higher than 2.5.

Student athlete Full tuition scholarship Students who entered our university as a student athlete, and have been recommended by the Athletics Committee
Robot Gaming Group Full tuition scholarship Students who have been in full activity of Robot Gaming Group in our university. The students need to be recommended by the Student Welfare Office.
Labor Service Prescribed amount Students who carry out labor service at administrative offices and other designated place in the campus
Scholarship from outside Prescribed amount The scholarship recipients are selected according to the standards of about 30 outside scholarship foundations
Others Other students who have been selected as a scholarship recipient by the Scholarship Committee

Application Period and Methods

a) School scholarships: The scholarship information is posted on the school home page a week prior to the final exam at each semester, and it will be maintained until the end of exam. The students may apply for the scholarship at the department office.
b) Outside scholarships: The information will be posted on the school home page according to the schedule and methods of outside educational foundations.
c) Labor service scholarship: The application information will be posted on the school home page at the beginning of each semester, and the recipients will be selected according to the family income status.
d) Dual beneficiary: The outside scholarship is excluded from the concept of dual beneficiary.
